Mini versions of high-fashion handbags are the accessory of the moment!  Make your very own by hand on this fast-paced weekend course!

Choose from a collection of cute, fashion-forward styles including mini-duffel, mini-backpack, mini boxbag and more - and use classic hand stitching and metal fitting techniques to assemble yours in record time.

Katherine Pogson has specialised in bespoke leather accessories for the fashion industry since 2000, using her pattern-making, construction and couture craft skills for Hussein Chalayan, and Mulberry amongst others. The author of How to Work with Leather will share her her approach to design and  materials, showing you to use classic saddlery techniques to create sleek contemporary  products.

Working in premium vegetable-tanned leathers, you will discover how to:

  • Choose the correct leather for your project
  • Master the art of saddle-stitching by hand, using twin needles and linen thread
  • Experiment with scoring and folding to create volume and form
  • Make a mini version of a hand-stitched leather handbag
