Choose from a collection of cute, fashion-forward styles including mini-duffel, mini-backpack, mini boxbag and more - and use classic hand stitching and metal fitting techniques to assemble yours in record time.
Katherine Pogson has specialised in bespoke leather accessories for the fashion industry since 2000, using her pattern-making, construction and couture craft skills for Hussein Chalayan, and Mulberry amongst others. The author of How to Work with Leather will share her her approach to design and materials, showing you to use classic saddlery techniques to create sleek contemporary products.
Working in premium vegetable-tanned leathers, you will discover how to:
- Choose the correct leather for your project
- Master the art of saddle-stitching by hand, using twin needles and linen thread
- Experiment with scoring and folding to create volume and form
- Make a mini version of a hand-stitched leather handbag

Materials to the value of £20.00 are included in the price of this course, and you will be given a full information pack on tools, equipment and suppliers. Katherine will supply a selection of her own contemporary patterns to choose from, with the option of adapting them to your own design if there is time.
